Description : Caesalpinia pulcherrima (Barbados Pride) is an upright shrub or small trees with long-stalk, 2-pinnate, shiny green leaves, 30 centimeter or longer, consisting of various, elliptic leaflets with a length of 8 mm. Between spring and autumn, having erect racemes up to 20 centimeter in length of 40 bowl-shaped flowers, 3-4 cm in size, with orange-yellow or yellow petals, orange-red sepals, and red stamens. Height from 3 to 6 m, and 2 to 4 m spread. Probably originally from the West Indies.
