Carpentaria Palm (Carpentaria acuminata) is a medium-range palm with a slender, smooth trunk, surrounded by old leaf scars. Arching, pinnate, 2-4 meters long, dark-greenish leaves consist of many narrow leaflets, linear, abrupt or ragged. From the spring until the summer, the cream flowers are cup-shaped, with a length of 1,5 m and crimson fruits in lasting yellow calyces. Height: 10-15 m, width: 3-7 m. originally of Australia.
