Caryota Mitis (Clustered Fishtail Palm,Burmese Fishtail Palm ) is a small to medium-range in size palm, with clustered stems, dressed at first in fibrous leaf base, and subsequently bare. The widespread linear, 2-pinnate, dark green leaves are 2-4 meters long, with 6-60 fish-tail leaflets and 3-angled evenly. In summer there are pendent panicles 30 cm or longer, with cream flowers up to 2 cm in width. Height: 3-12 m, width: 3-7 m. Originally from Burma, Indonesia (Java),and the Philippines.
