Description Coconut palm (Cocos nucifera) is a significant sized palm with a wide, conical base, often gravitating, grey, and pinnate, vibrant, green leaves, which are 4-6 m long, with several linear leaflets. Across the year, small, bowl-shaped, fragrant cream and yellow flowers are formed, followed by ovoid fruit each with its green, ocherish-yellow or or orange-red outer shell covering a fibrous brown husk. 20-30 cm in height, 12 m in length. Native to the tropical coastal region.
