Conocarpus erectus also known as Buttonwood :It is (11 m) tall, (21 m) long spreading, and (530 cm) stem diameter. The bark is dense and has broad plates of thin grey to brown scales. The branches are delicate and bent or winged in a cross-section. r The ever green leaves are alternately arranged, flat and oblong, 2-7 centimetres (10 centimetres or 3.9 in length rarely) long and 1-3 centimetres (0.39-1.18 inches) wide, with a tapering tip and a complete margin.
