Description: Leucophyllum frutescens Green Cloud also called (Texas Sage), Under almost desert environment, the sage purple is a dense, rounded, semi-evergreen shrub of 3 to 5 feet (0.9 to 1.5 meter) tall.. A more open 5 to 8 feet (1.5-20.3 meter) plant is inclined in an irrigated garden. It has 0.5-1 felt oval-looking wavy alternating leaves with silvery pubescence (1.3-2.5 cm). The five-lobed 0.5-1 tubular (1.3 to 2.5 cm) flowers are born in the leaf axils individually. They have a throat and a typical character of the family foxglove. After summer rains, the flowers emerge, covering the plant for a spectacular week with white, violet, lavender, purple or blue flower. There are two valve capsules filled with small wrinkled seeds. Alba has white flowers, whereas Rain Cloud has purple-blue flowers. Green Cloud creates green leaves and rosé flowers. On plants with very silvery leaves, Sierra Bouquet has lavender blue leaflets . Pink Compacta floral is a smaller variety for low heels and ground plantations. Relatively evergreen Bertstar Dwarf, sold under the name Silverado Sage, is 4×4 ft (1.2×1.2 m) rounded and even on a basis is extraordinarily full and dense. There are several similar leucophyll species, but how many species and which species represent are confusing in literature. The barometer bush (L. minus) is a tiny twig-grown shrub with trans-Pecos violet flowers; the Silver Cloud variety features silvery white leaflets and dark blue flowers. L. Violaceum is a violet-flowered Chisos mountain species. Violet silver leaf (L. candidum) is an exquisitely dense bubble, which consists of two notable varieties: white cloud with pale grey leaves and pale blue flowers. Ever blooming Lynns, L cultivar. Longmanae, a low-growing dense gray-green bust which most of the summer produces lilac pink flowers. The chihuahuan sage is a more open plant with turns and tiny flowers. (L. laevigatum). Blue sage rain (L. zygophyllum) is a small, dense plant that grows very slowly and takes good shear.
