Description Neodypsis decaryi (triangle palm) is one of the palm tribe, which may very well be Neodypsis decaryi or Triangle Palm in the first prizes in the special feature division. It is called after the bulging leaf or front foundation, which grows in a distinct 3-sided triangle with an amazing blue-gray hue. The broad, compact leaves measure up to 12 feet in length. This lonely palm will expand up to 25 feet but is typically seen just around 10-15 feet. The fronds usually are kept upright at a maximum angle of 45 degrees to the base, giving this palm a fine and noble appearance. The lower leaves of this palm are often oddly formed into long hanging cords, called reins, which attach to the land.
