Rhapis excelsa (Lady Palm, Miniature Palm Fan) Thin, slender, upright, bamboo- or reed-like plant. The long stalked, thickly lobed, shiny, dark-green leaves, 20-30 cm in length, each have 3-10 roughly punched, closely rounded lobes. Tiny, bowl-like cream flowers are borne between leaves in the summer in panicles, up to 12 cm across.
