Description

It is a liana that grows in length to 32 m (35 yd), with flaky bark. The leaves are alternating, palm-lobed, 5–20 cm long and wide (2.0–7.9 in). The fruit is a berry commonly named  grape; it is 6 mm (0.24 in) in the wild and molds dark-purple to blackish with a pale-wax flora; typically far larger in cultivated plant species and up to 3 cm (1.2 in) wide, white, red or lilac (blacks). Usually, the species occurs in moist and seasonal habitats.
