Description
Livistona chinensis (Fountain Palm,Chinese Fan Palm ) is a Medium sized palm that has an erect, comprehensive trunk swollen at the foundation and the upper part is covered at least either by fibrous leaf bases. Glossy, extreme green leaves, up to 2 meters long with shorter spiny leaf stalks are divided into many linear, pendent segments for up to 2/3rd of the length. The cream flowers can be born in panicles up to 1 m or longer, usually in summer, followed by spherical, glittering, blue-green to grey-pink fruits 2-2.5 cm across.
