Spathodea campanulata also known as African Tulip Tree, Flame of The Forest, Fountain Tree, Firebell is is a fairly branched, open, dense leafs tree with opposite, pinnate leaves, 45 cm in length, each of which consists of 9-19 oblong leaflets, ovate, leathery and dark Terminal racemes or panicles are formed, usually in spring and summer, shaping  rimmed yellow- , scarlet to blood-red flowers, 5-10 cm long, yellow-green, they have a crepe kind of texture, fox-like fragrance and rich nectar. Large woody seeds pods in canoe shape develop paper-winged seeds.
